Freeze Warning 2018

Hard Freeze Warning for all of Southeast Louisiana

The National Weather Service has issued a Hard Freeze Warning for all of the New Orleans area until noon Tuesday.

“Low temperatures are forecast to be 13-18° north of the lake and 21-26° south of the lake,” WWL-TV Chief Meteorologist Carl Arredondo forecasts. “Wind chills will be 5-15 degrees.”

He says everyone should protect pipes on both sides of the lake.

“To make matters worse, winds will stay up giving us wind chills in the single digits and teens through morning commute.”

Highs Tuesday won’t get out of the 30s.
